Problems with ScreenSaver on Windows 7 64bit

Hi,

I have just gone live with a new screen saver today. It works well on 32bit OSes but crashing on 64bit with

'Exception EFOpenError in module ,screensavername.scr. at 0001E6FE. Cannot open file c:\windows\system32\screensavername.scr

Can anyone help?

My screensaver no longer works!!! I have Flash and ran a Flash Test and it came up all good but InstantStorm still thinks I don't have Flash!!!

the Flash test on Adobe's website came out with the following:
Your Flash Version: 11.2.202.160
Your OS: Windows XP (32-bit)

so my Flas is working but InstantStorm is not!!!

white screen, exclamation point

My screensaver runs fine for 10-15 minutes then it just changes to a white screen with an exclamation point in the middle. I saw a post on this same topic from a while ago but the response to it said that this bug would be fixed in the new version and as I am running the new version, this did not help me find an answer... I posted about this in general discussion and got no response. I need help fixing this as this screensaver was made for my employer and as of now I have no answers for him on why it's not working... please help!

My SWF file is set to loop and once converted to a screensaver it will loop for a while then at some point is just stops and an exclamation point appears in the middle of the screen??

Hey guys, amazing tool you've put together!

When configuring the installer for my screen saver everything is smooth sailing until I set the icon - I've tried .ICO (converted online from a .PNG) and a .BMP I just renamed to .ICO but I get

Run-time error '481': Invalid Picture

When previewing the installer.

It compiles and publishes nicely with the correct icon both on the .EXE file and during the installer (though not under Add/Remove programs in the control panel). It's just that the installer preview doesn't work.

Win7 Ultimate.

MOV not playing

I have created a flash file then converted it to a SWF so that I can install it as a screensaver. Everything shows up fine when the screensaver is installed except one portion of the video containing an .mov file that was imported into Flash and therefore converted to an .flv inside Flash. I cannot include the .flv file under the

I've tried using the feature of an swf for widescreen and an alternate for 4x3 , but it never uses the 4x3 on standard monitors, always only the 16x9. Any ideas why?

Based on Stefan Trifan's 'The Weather, City Edition' this is a windows version of the stunning and very useful screensaver which displays the Yahoo Weather forecast for a location set in the settings dialog of the screensaver.

This uses the shared objects approach where a config.swf is used to provide the weather_v2.swf with the settings. I was able to use this method based on this forum post Getting a variable into the screensaver for personal content?.

I have included the files used to create the screensaver (exe, scr, swf, fla and associated images) into the zip file below for all users to download and interrogate as they please.

white lines on top and left of the screen with swf

Hi!
I would like to use swf file for my screensaver but when i publish it the animation doesn't fit with my screen. I have a 16/10 screen (1280/800) and i see two white lines at the left and top borders of it. Scale is good and i still don't know what is the problem whenever i try different ratio for the swf file. I use special flash file for widescreen.
System: windows xp sp3
Flashplayer:11.1.102.55
Swf file: 357ko
Instantstorm 2.0
I don't know if someone have report this problem i don't see any forum talking about this (I'm french so i may have missed some forum because i had misunderstand the topics.) . Perhaps the pb is minor but i realy don't know how to resolve it. Sorry if there errors in my post.

Exclamation mark after running for long period of time

As the topic states, after running for an extended period of time, the screen is replaced by an exclamation mark.

It seems this error is taking place because the default security policy on our domain is locking the machine after a set time, when this lock takes place all 'rights' the Screen saver has to the user account is locked and therefore the ( ! ) is displayed.

At the point of lock the only 'rights' the Screen saver has is system 'rights' which it's not designed to use, so the error is displayed because it no longer has the access to the files it needs to display the content.

The screen saver in question does not run any code on the timeline, does not rely on external files, it's a simple timeline animation SWF, exported as a .SCR, no installation.

This is happening in Win7 64.

Any help will be appreciated.

Monitor Aspect Ratios

I am creating a screensaver using an animation originally created in after effects and then exported to flash to create the SWF.

I need to role this screensaver out across our companies network. Most monitors are 1440x900 16:9 but there are the odd few with the 4:3 type screens.

Is there a setting which maintains the aspect ration of the screensaver regardless of the monitor?
