Topic: Unexpected compile error

I use the version 2.00 of instant storm

but the whole time I get the "Unexpected compile error". when I want to create the installer.

My systems I tried
windows 7   (two different pc's)
windows vista

it does not matter what functions I put on or off
I re downloaded several times in different places but the error keeps coming. :S

and of course I get the error finally when I finished my Flash files XD
but I think still that it is a great program. only one nasty bug that have to be killied wink

I hope you know a way to fix it

i suspect that it has something to do with a configuration i made but can't find out.

I finally found the bug that is causing my error:

if i set (tab)Installer > (installer Designer)Open > (tab)Version Info > and than fill in Publisher, Copyright, Version and Product Description

I found the problem:
Version may not contain a-z so v1.00 must be 1.00 that is the mistake I made XD

Mayby as tip: can you set a limit on what characters you may use wink

I got the problem agian :S
When i try to compile the exe it crashes.
But when i try to compile the scr it works
Restarting instantstorm has no effect redownloading instantstrom has no effect either.

It is not related to the version information. because if i leaf those info empty i stil got the same error

The stupid thing is that it can compile the SCR file but not the EXE.
And if i make a new project with the wizard (no extra functions in use) it still give's me the error.

There might be some temporary files stuck in your temp directory that won't let InstantStorm compile your project. First make sure you can view hidden and system files and folders in Windows Explorer. Then navigate to C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Local\Temp\ and if there's a folder named InstantStorm, delete it. If you're using Windows XP and not Vista or 7, the path to the temp folder is C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Local Settings\Temp.

There where indeed some temp files. deleted those but no effect :S.
I will try to find the source but as far nothing (could be just my windows)

On my laptop I still get the error after deleting (and redownloading) instantstorm.
But reinstalling windows will do the trick wink (I planned that this week so after that it will work again wink)

I just noticed that I get the compile error if I try to set my version info to something beginning with a decimal (like .9). Not a real problem, by any means - just thought I'd mention it.
